Madeira Chenille 12 is the first purpose‑made chenille thread derived from 100% recycled polyester. Engineered with a unique looser twist and an open, gently bundled filament structure, it creates velvet‑soft, uniform loops that deliver a beautifully clean, perfectly flat finish.
Smooth continuous filaments minimise abrasion and prevent protruding fibres, while compatibility with NM 90/14 needles helps reduce fabric damage across a range of fabrics. An optimised, low‑lubrication finish ensures residue‑free running on king spools with consistent tension for approximately 400,000 stitches, depending on the design and machine. Available in more than 30 vibrant shades and using high-performance dyes for long-lasting colour, Chenille 12 combines modern softness, durability, and sustainability.
